Accessories...
I got Scarlett's ears pierced this morning! I took the girls to the mall just for something to do and got the bright idea to stop at Claire's. I thought Trevor and I might take the kids last weekend and get her ears done, but it never happened. Anywho...the girls were both being good and I thought "why not?". She totally freaked! So much more than Chloe did. Chloe was 9 months when we got her ears pierced. I'll get some pics up shortly, but I wanted to let you know! She's so cute. I picked her birthstone, Peridot (it's light green). So sparkly!!

Thanksgiving
We just got got back from my family's in VA. We had a great time! Below are tons of photos. Instead of doing separate posts I just threw all the pictures up on my blog and I'll put individual captions with them.
I have to say that the highlight of our trip was going to the temple and doing work for my ancestors. I got to stand as proxy for my grandma Dottie. I was named after her: Dorothy Lillian Ellerbusch was my grandma. I got to go through an endowment session on her behalf and seal her to her husband. The best part of the temple trip was acting as my grandma and having my mom sealed to her parents. That was really special. I'll have to scan a picture of my grandma in the computer so that I can post it on my blog. I'm so thankful for the temple work that we can do and that our families can be together forever. Not only do my grandma and I share the same name but we both married Naval Officers! Actually, I married a Marine who turned into a Naval officer, but still.
Aunt Denise and Deucey.
She was having so much fun playing with my brother.
Again, lots of fun with uncle Aaron.
Aunt Dara carrying a naked Deucey in her sweatshirt to keep her warm! Dara was practicing a Guatemalan custom. I think it's called a "sute" (pronounced- sootay). How moms carry their babies in Guatemala.
Cute pic of my mom and her grandbabies!
Grandma and Scarlett.
My mom helping Chloe paint a matchbox. She did a great job too!
I just like this pic of her.
Such a sad girl! I was outside with my sisters and Trevor was taking our picture. We looked up and this is what we saw! She had woken up from her nap and was very sad that she was inside and we were outside. Poor thing. Click on the pic to get a better look at her sad face.
Uncle Ryan made Chloe some playdough glasses. She was walking around the house with her head tilted back to keep them on her nose. Cute!
Chloe doin her thing on the sit and spin.
This wasn't on our vacation but it's one of her favorite things to do. Open the stereo cabinet and lick the inside of the glass.
GQ! This pic's out of order. I took it when Aaron, my bro, was playing with Deucey. Cute, huh?!! Sorry ladies, he's taken!
Here's the pic that made Chloe so upset! Me, Denise, and Dara- the Shreffler women in action! This was right before Denise's bridal shower. She's getting married February 6th.

Cute Deucey
Here's our star's debut! I swear she was laughing for a few seconds before I got the camera. I wasn't fast enough! That kept happening too, everytime I got the camera she got straight-faced, the little stinker. She makes you work for a smile but when you get one it's heart-melting!!
Coastal Carolina Fair
It's been almost 2 weeks since the fair, I know that I'm posting about it a little late. Better late than never, right?! We went to the Costal Carolina Fair while Alice was here. It was nice to have extra hands with the kiddies. Chloe loved the carousel. Here's a pic and a little movie clip. It was really hard to take pictures while it was moving so I took a video instead. Trevor and I got to go on the Ferris Wheel! We ate good food and had fun.

Here's Chloe and daddy riding the carousel.

Thank you Alice!
We recently had Trevor's mom stay with us for about a week and a half. We had a great time! Grandma has a knack for getting Deucey to sleep. We've missed that since she's gone home! I'll post pictures later. Thank you Alice!!

Marine Corps Birthday
Happy Birthday to the Marine Corps! As Trevor would say "Not as mean, not as lean, still a Marine". (I wish I could say I made that up but we saw it on a bumper sticker! Totally funny.)
On an unrelated note: Trevor saw an alligator at school today. It was meandering down the sidewalk. The security guards were keeping it from going inside the school with brooms! This is the second loose gator close to home since we moved here in June!! I think Trevor's taking the trash out now and doing anything else that needs done when it's dark outside! A gator could be waiting...

MOOoooove over Elsie!!
Fam's visit
I thought I'd make an appearance...after all it's my blog...Please notice the lollipop sticks hanging out of my pocket. When Chloe saw a lollipop dropped in her bag all she wanted was to eat them right then and there. I had quite a sucker collection by the time we finished trunk or treating!
Trevor did a great job on Scarlett's blessing. It was so nice having so much family here. I'm so thankful for them and their support. We had a great time:)

Halloween
It's been a while! We had a great time at the ward's Trunk or Treat. I'll post pics later. Chloe was the cutest cow you've ever seen and Deucey was a leopard. Chloe's costume was a "big belly" costume which means that the belly and bum were padded. Soooo cute.
Trevor blessed Scarlett today. I can't believe we've just blessed our second baby. My mom, sister and her hubby, brother and his wife, and my in-laws came to participate in the blessing. It was so nice having so much family here. My mother-in-law is staying for a little over a week to hang out and have fun with us. I'm sooo looking forward to catching up on sleep!

Who says you need the beach to play in the sand??
Here she is right before Trevor hosed her down.
Chloe and Gianna taking turns chucking wet sand at each other.
We went to a barbeque at a friend's last night. It's been fun watching Chloe's personality develop. She's just like her parents- a homebody. She's very happly playing alone and doesn't need to be around lots of other kids to have a good time. That being said, she does enjoy occasional company of a friend. Above are pictures of such a moment. Our friends have this sandbox. Chloe had a great time playing with Giana. At one point I looked over and they were taking turns throwing sand at each other. It was hilarious! Instead of stopping it I laughed and took pictures. Besides, the damage had been done. (Thankfully they didn't get sand in each other's eyes. But we'll be getting it out of Chloe's hair for the next week or so!) We let the girls get it out of their system and then they both got hosed off. I should've taken a video of that- Chloe freaked out. She didn't like that part at all.
Please note that these pics were taken from my cel phone! Thank you technology.

My little girl's 2!!
I can't believe she's 2. Makes me a little sad, like "where'd the time go?" She's such a fun little person. I love her personality. She has enriched our family and we are so happy to have her forever! We love you Chloe!
Speaking of bdays...I just turned 29. Holy Cow! Talk about "where'd the time go?". I guess that means I'm a grown up now...
I have an interview on Monday at the YMCA...wish me luck!!
